First held in 2008, Racks by the Tracks is stronger than ever. Although we love beer, BBQ and live music, our chief motivation in putting on this festival is to make our community and region a more exciting and vibrant place to be.
In 2017, the festival sold out the 2,000-ticket craft beer tasting event, and in excess of 15,000 people attended the festival. Our festival attendees come primarily from Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina and Kentucky.
Racks by the Tracks is committed to giving back to our community. Through the years, our festival has benefited Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee, Sullivan County Humane Society, Relay for Life, Keep Kingsport Beautiful, Downtown Kingsport Association, PEAK Young Professionals, Boys and Girls Club, Girls Inc., Skin Cancer Foundation, Kingsport Ballet, and the Kingsport Area Chamber of Commerce.
