Milan is home to the largest industrial base of the county with over a dozen major employers. Agriculture also plays an important role in our economy with Milan hosting “Milan No-Till Field Day” - the nation’s largest field day of its kind devoted to improving the production of no-till crops and conservation-at The West Tennessee Agricultural Museum. Milan has a unique mix of retail establishments with national chains and locally owned specialty shops, one of which is the only boutique in West Tennessee specializing in homemade candies. Milan is an award recipient of the Three Star and Tennessee Downtown programs evidencing the community’s continued success and accomplishments.
