This town has a rich Irish heritage; many of the immigrants who came to work on the railroad in the late 1800s remarked that the valleys reminded them of their Irish home. Every March, Erin celebrates its Irish heritage with a week-long Irish Days festival that features a parade and rides. Kiss Erin's own Blarney Stone on the Houston County Courthouse lawn and see the lucky stone in the downtown archway.
