Dr. Bobby Jones Historical Marker

Dr. Bobby Jones, singer, evangelist, educator and Henry County, Tennessee native, popularized African-American gospel music on cable television. His show, "Bobby Jones Gospel" on Black Entertainment Television (BET) was one of the longest-running shows on cable TV. He's won a Dove Award, Grammy Award and many other honors and citations, including becoming Ambassador at Large for the Caribbean nation, Dominica.
