A 1997 Bluegrass Hall of Fame Inductee, Burkett "Uncle Josh" Graves was born in Tellico Plains, TN and is known as the "King of the Dobro." He is credited with bringing the Dobro guitar into bluegrass music with visionary methods that influenced and inspired generations of Dobro players. Josh Graves was one of the most vital connections between bluegrass and blues music. He was a prominent instrumentalist and vocalist with Flatt and Scruggs, the most successful bluegrass-style act of the ’50s and ’60s.
