We are the home of Lester Flatt and known as Bluegrass USA. Our Lester Flatt Day bluegrass festival is an International Bluegrass Music Award (IBMA) "Event of the Year" winner. We offer free bluegrass venues almost a dozen times per year.
We are the most centrally located town to three of Tennessee's four largest largest cities. We are less than 90 minutes to the airports in Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. Sparta is 14 miles south of Interstate 40 at the intersection of scenic routes US 70 and Highway 111.
