Since 1992, Wears Valley Ranch has been helping kids who come from difficult family situations. Our vision is to see children INSPIRED to follow Christ, HEALED from the past, and EQUIPPED to reach their full potential. We strive to promote the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, social and physical development of children in need of a stronger family support system, through Christ-centered home settings.
Located on our campus, St. Andrew’s School offers innovative tutorial education for boys and girls K-12. Employing a hybrid of the home-school model, students are challenged and motivated to reach new levels of scholastic and spiritual excellence. The tutorial approach, tailored curriculum, and wide variety of subjects offered are distinctive and set St. Andrew’s apart from most traditional schools. St. Andrew’s School is fully accredited by ACSI, the Association of Christian Schools International. Recognizing the value of our tutorial approach, ACSI worked with us to develop an alternative track to accreditation—a track that upholds ACSI’s rigorous standards for academic excellence while allowing for innovative methods of instruction. The self-study developed during this process is now being used by other schools around the country.
Working with animals can be fulfilling, fun, therapeutic, and educational–and few animals are as rewarding for students to work with as horses. From grooming and feeding to riding and jumping, students have fun while developing traits that will benefit them for a lifetime—responsibility, attention to detail, obedience, confidence, and concern for the needs of others. The equestrian program at Wears Valley Ranch was designed with these character goals in mind. As students progress, they have opportunities to care for and ride horses in the arena, pasture, and on several trails around the Ranch. We thank God for providing this avenue for children to enjoy His creation and grow at the same time!
Covenant Community Church of Wears Valley (http://www.cccwearsvalley.org) meets on our campus each Sunday at 10:30 am, and a fellowship meal follows each service.
