Still Hollow Farm is proud to be designated as a "Tennessee Century Farm." It has been continuously owned and operated by the Allen/Birdwell family since 1857, when James Allen Sr. established the original farm of 560 acres about nine miles southwest of Greeneville. Eventually, he would own well over one thousand acres. Today, the active farm is around 180 acres of the original land.
What began as a way to bridge the gap from historic roots in the eighteenth century to our most recent endeavors in agritourism has now grown to allow us to meet your event needs from April thru October. Still Hollow Farm is the ideal location for birthday parties, school field trips, weddings, family reunions or picnics. Your guests will find the relaxing atmosphere to be a country retreat as they gather in the pavilion overlooking Nolichuckey River.
The Farmers Wife Gift Shop at Still Hollow Farm is a unique repurpose of the old granary. Located in the heart of the 1860s farmstead, it has a panoramic view of Nolichuckey River and surrounding bottomlands. Unique again is what you will find inside. Handcrafts created by artisans who can turn a farm implement into a work of art or a piece of wood into a gift to treasure. We also specialize in wrought iron for your home and garden. The shop is open most days, or by chance, from April through November. However, it is always best to call first and confirm the hours: 423-638-3967 or 423-620-9830.
