Every year, the Tennessee Square and Round Dance Convention brings an incredible event to the Gatlinburg convention center and W. L. Mills Conference Center. For three days the streets of Gatlinburg come to life with ladies in beautiful square dance attire and their gentleman partners in their finest western wear. Not only do we have square dancers from all across the state, but from all around the area. Last year’s attendance was over 1200 with dancers from 24 states attending. Many come early or stay for a few days following the convention to explore Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and our Great Smoky Mountains, the nations most visited National Park.
The TN State Convention is now one of the largest and best dancing events in the country. The convention features a live band on Friday and Saturday nights and all dancing is on wood flooring. Dance with more than 70 gifted, talented and challenging callers, cuers and line instructors to all levels of Square, Advance,Round dance as well as Lines and Contra. You will find special dance workshops, after parties, a fun fashion show, sewing clinic, fun squares, and a used clothing yard sale and much more.
We love visitors and there is no charge for non-dancers that just want to see why we are having so much fun. Dancers must have a ticket and daily tickets are available at the door.
