A one-way road tour which parallels Roaring Fork Creek, a sight to behold. Be sure to roll down your windows so you can hear the water at full force. A waterfall on the Trail is known as "Place of a Thousand Drops." Cascades, rapids, and falls adorn the roadside. At the end of Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, you will find Ely's Mill, a family-owned and operated mill built in 1925. To get the true flavor of life on a mountain farm, stop at the historic Bud Ogle Farm. Take the opportunity to stop at #5 of the self-guided tour to hike 1.2 miles to Grotto Falls. No trucks, RVs or trailers allowed as the road is narrow. The road is closed in the winter. The Trail makes a loop and ends above Gatlinburg.
