This lake and natural area, located off Bridgeway Drive, is a favorite spot among fishermen seeking catfish, bass and bream. Kayakers glide across the 35-acre lake as well. Cookeville’s first water treatment facility was constructed here. A short trail takes walkers past a historic structure toward the invigorating sight of cascading waters. To get there from downtown Cookeville, go east on Highway 70N, cross over Interstate 40 (at Exit 290), turn left on Poplar Grove Road and go straight onto Bridgeway Drive. Keep going to the lake.
