We did it again...the Putnam County Fair was named a Premier Tennessee Fair in 2022 by the Tennessee Association of Fairs -- culminating a three-year period of the highest awards offered by TAF.
The #1 County Fair in Tennessee in 2021 -- the "Champion of Champions" Fair in Tennessee and The State Champion County Fair in 2019 ... AAA Division of the Tennessee Association of Fairs. (The Association did not meet in 2020 due to COVID)
The 98th fair will be held July 25--August 3, 2024. Over 60,000 people attend this fair in 2023. The twelve day fair offers Livestock and Dairy Shows, Hog Show, Goat and Sheep Shows, Dairy Goat Show, and six Horse Show, Team Roping, Lone Star Rodeo, Putnam County Horse Show, and six nights of motorsports. Motorsports include Monster Truck Show, two Demolition Derbies, Truck & Tractor Pull, two nights of Motorcycle Races, and Antique Tractor Show and Pull. Fairest of the Fair Pageants. Special programs for Senior Citizens, Pacesetters and Special Children. The best exhibit in the state by our Master Gardeners, a Country Store and the premier exhibit -- Grand Ma's Barnyard -- a replica of a real barnyard in the 1940s, and 50s in Putnam County. Great fair food, great exhibits and the James Gang Amusement Co. on the midway. Admission $5 at the gate weekdays, includes parking.
Recognizing six volunteers, annually, for their support of the fair; seven young people who are enrolled in agriculture or family and consumers sciences study; and twenty-one Legacy Fair Families for over 50 years of support of this county fair.
