The Higher Pursuits Duck River Canoe Base is located just minutes from downtown Columbia, TN and features canoe and kayak trips on the beautiful and scenic Duck River.
The Duck River winds its way through Maury County, the Yanahli Wildlife Management Area and the Duck River State Natural Area. This makes all our routes feel remote and unobstructed by houses and roads. There are gorgeous gravel bars, rock bluffs and beautiful scenery throughout. All of our paddling routes are an easygoing Class I with very few swift spots. We offer several paddling routes varying in length from 5.5 miles to 8.5 miles.
Our goal is connect you with the natural wonder of the river while providing great service, quality equipment and a family friendly environment. In addition to renting canoes and kayaks, we also provided guided trips on the Duck River, canoe instruction, kayak instruction, and are an authorized dealer for Jackson Fishing and Recreational Kayaks.
