About This Route

The Watauga Lake Winery Loop winds through the rural landscape of Johnson County, in the northeast corner of Tennessee, at the border of North Carolina and Virginia. This route is a relatively short ride, but it's a solid workout with plenty of climbing for the distance. The ride includes a great mix of scenery, including a section that follows Watauga Lake, as well as several creekside rambles. At the end, enjoy visiting two award-winning Tennessee wineries: Watauga Lake Winery and Villa Nove Vineyards.
