You might know it as Muletown, but Maury County includes plenty more distinct communities – including Mount Pleasant, Spring Hill, Culleoka, Hampshire, Columbia, Santa Fe and Williamsport.
Visit Columbia’s historic courthouse square and the many thriving local businesses throughout the county. Muletown Coffee Roasters, Baxter’s Mercantile, Ted’s Sporting Goods, Ye Peddler Gift Shop, Dwell Boutique, Bleu 32 and Spring Hill Antique Mall are full of treats. In Santa Fe, Papa Boudreaux’s Cajun Café serves up a taste of the bayou. In Culleoka on Friday and Saturdays, you can stop by Campbell Station Country Store & Restaurant to indulge in a home-cooked meal.
Other sites to see include Spring Hill’s Rippa Villa, home of the Civil War’s Battle of Spring Hill, outdoor recreation at Duck River and Williamsport Lakes, and Columbia’s Two Lanes Guesthouse, filled with vintage finds from Mike Wolfe’s famed show, “American Pickers.”
