Woodsmoke Campground, a family-owned and operated park, has 30 RV sites with electric (30 or 50 amp), water and sewer and three tent sites with water availability nestled in the woods below Buffalo Mountain in Unicoi. Each site includes a picnic table and firering and a few sites have covered decks. An all-weather mountain brook runs behind some sites in upper loop and, depending on rainfall amounts, runs behind some lower loop sites. Woodsmoke comes with a large, clean bath house. Park is Wi-Fi friendly and wide open spaces are available for portable satelite dishes. Entrance to campground is approximately 1000 feet from Exit 32 off I-26. Most pets welcomed as long as leashed. Approximately 1000 yards from Woodsmoke's entrance is the trail head to the Pinnacle Mountain Bike and Hiking Trail, which zig-zags to top of mountain above Woodsmoke. The fire tower at the top has been renovated as an observation platform where 360 degrees of mountains may be seen. The Appalachian Trail and other hiking trails are within reasonable driving distance from Woodsmoke. Park is 30 minutes from oldest town in Tennessee. A variety of antique shops and museums are within close proximity to park. A 24-hour laundry facility is one mile from park and propane gas exchange within three miles of Woodsmoke. Guests will hear the birds sing; watch the squirrels and chipmunks play; whisper as the deer and turkey pass by; and see the rabbits multiply. Fireflies put on a show during the summertime night; the owls hoot and sometimes the whip-poor-will calls. Woodsmoke offers a shaded, relaxing, peaceful camping atmosphere.
