Trotter-McMahan House
Sevierville, TN
An 1848 Federal-style home located just off the Middle Creek bypass.
One of the first examples of Greek Revival style architecture in
the county, this 1848 house was constructed by builder Frederick Emert for Dr. William Harrison Trotter (1814-1887). A Civil War bullet hole in its staircase is a small symbol of all the house has survived.
On a Century farm, the house had many more windows than were usual for the time. (Now a private residence.)
