Featured in Southern Living Magazine, Henpeck Market was described as "It's that good." With the motto, "Simply Live Life," Henpeck Market is a gas station, a grocery store, a live bluegrass venue, and a cafe, serving the finest possible versions of classic mid-south albeit gourmet fare. You can find country ham & biscuits early; later on, fare such as fried chicken, meatloaf, chicken & dumplings with sides of okra, white beans, or mashed potatoes.

Desserts are a sight to behold, and there are so many that choosing only one or two is a real challenge. Enjoy 7-layer carrot cake, meringue-topped banana pudding, caramel pie, and cream cheese chocolate brownies.

The last Saturday of each month, the Henpeck Market features a live bluegrass jam that includes supper of catfish, turnip greens, white beans and slaw. Every Tuesday night meals are served family style.
