South Pittsburg is located in Marion County, Tennessee and borders to its south the Alabama state-line. From Nashville take I-24 east to exit 152. From here take U. S. Highway 72 west for about two miles then take Tennessee Highway 156 at split to right, which will lead you directly into the downtown only a few blocks away from split. From Chattanooga take I-24 east to exit 152. From here take U. S. Highway 72 west for about two miles then take Tennessee Highway 156 at split to right, which will lead you directly into the downtown only a few blocks away from split. From Memphis take U. S. Highway 72 east through Mississippi, Alabama and back into Tennessee. Once you have reentered the state you enter South Pittsburg city limits at the state-line.
