Experience the pinnacle of an East Tennessee vacation with a raft trip on the Pigeon River. Rafting in the Smokies has been an expert in whitewater rafting since 1978. Choose for yourself: mild or wild!
Take on the exciting Class III and IV rapids on the Upper Pigeon (ages 8 and up), or enjoy a scenic, relaxing float trip on the Lower Pigeon (ages 3 and up, including grandparents). No experience is necessary. Every raft is accompanied by a certified guide.
Rafting in the Smokies offers much more, in addition to whitewater. Discover thrills on the 150-foot swinging bridge to Family Adventure Island. Our island zip line course features two towers with 600-foot dual racing lines. Fly high in the treetops and catch a bird’s eye view of the Pigeon River. Or climb on our High Elements Ropes Challenge Course and test your skills. Strength, balance and agility are assets on this course, but none are actually necessary. The only requirement is an adventurous spirit. Your guide will ensure your safety as you make your way through the twelve activities of various skill levels.
Spend the day or your whole vacation with us. We offer special combo packages for raft & zip, raft & rope, and raft, rope & zip. You can find the special packages here. Our Family Adventure Island offers picnic tables and grills, a children’s play area with swings and a swimming beach. Your family will enjoy the nature/birding trail, and the island is host to a geocache.
We appreciate the value and importance of your vacation time. Let Rafting in the Smokies’ experts help plan your day at the river by coordinating the best value in the Smokies. Come experience the thrill of a lifetime on the water, in the air or both!
