Adams, TN

Many rural Tennessee Post Offices contain murals and other art commissioned by the government during the Great Depression for public buildings. Among them are Carl Nyquist's "Picking Cotton," in Bolivar; John H. Fyfe's ""Mail Delivery to Tranquility," in Camden; "Farm and Factory" by Horace Day in Clinton; "The Partnership of Man and Nature" by Marion Greenwood in Crossville; Bertram Hartman's "View from Johnson's Bluff" in Dayton; "Man Power" and "Natural Resources," both by William Zorach in Greeneville; "Electrification" by Davide Stone Martin in Lenoir City; and many others detailing rural life.
