The Newport/Cocke County Museum displays local heritage with quilts, early home and farm tools, Native American artifacts, period room settings, and a WPA post office mural; also Cocke Co. natives Grace Moore, Gov. Ben W. Hooper and Charles McGaha.

Located off Highway 321 in the Newport Community Center, one mile north of I-40 exit 435. Exit at 435; travel north to the third traffic light. Turn right onto Mulberry St. Go one block. Turn right onto Prospect Ave.
