Nashville, Chattanooga & Saint Louis Depot & Railroad Museum

Jackson, TN

The Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Passenger Depot was built in 1907, designed to complement nearby Lancaster Park with its electro-chalybeate well, lakes, beautiful gardens, and fairgrounds. The City of Jackson has restored the depot into a museum - a lasting tribute to the impact of the railroads on the growth of Jackson, TN. The museum's collection includes photo's, artifacts, and related memorabilia associated with the N.C.& St.L., G.M.&O., I.C. R.R.'s and their family trees. Also open on the grounds are a 1947 F.E.C. dining car and two cabooses. Built and maintained by the Jackson Area Model Railroad Club ia a eleborate "HO" scale model railroad of Jackson, TN.(500ft. + of track) & runs daily. The museum receives "rave reviews" from our visitors and is a must see family event.
