LaGrange was occupied by Union forces from 1862 to the end of the war. Immanuel Episcopal Church served as a hospital. Antebellum homes include the birthplace of Lucy Holcombe Pickens, the “Queen of the Confederacy.”

Located along Hwy. 57 in the SE corner of Fayette Co. N. of MS state line and 50 mi. E. of Memphis.
