Brother, can you spare a million?
The “Million Dollar Quartet” was the name given to an impromptu jam session on December 4, 1956 in Memphis’ Sun Studios. Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash all happened to be in the studio at the same time, and Sun owner Sam Phillips turned on the tapes to record the moment for posterity.
