Nashville, the Movie
This 1975 Robert Altman film, nominated for a Best Picture Oscar, dealt with the lives of struggling singers and songwriters, and was filmed in the city. Nashville hospitality was on display during filming of the car crash scene, when passers-by, believing it to be a real accident, stopped to offer aid. All of the musicians in the film were real Nashville session musicians.
