Shop the Craft Galleries
Craft galleries in Tennessee will find you among tradition and innovation in technique, concept, and design. Unique objects seem to call to you: that perfect blown glass, this well-turned bowl, a whimsical touch ideal for a hard-to-find gift. The value appreciates doubly in handcrafted items: not only are the pieces a pouring out of the artisan's efforts; in turn, the found treasures become your artful expression as you "adopt" items to live with or share.

A Secret Garden…in Tennessee
English writer Frances Hodgson Burnett, author of The Secret Garden, Little Lord Fauntleroy and other hugely successful novels, spent much of her childhood in the Knoxville area. After her parents' deaths, she was, at 18, head of the family and turned to writing for ladies' magazines to support two younger siblings. A memoir of her youth, The One I Knew Best of All, tells the story of her life in Tennessee.
