Tennessee Proclaims March 14th “Casey Jones Day”

The State of Tennessee and Governor Bill Haslam proclaimed March 14, 2013 as “Casey Jones Day” to commemorate the 150th birthday of American railroad hero Jonathan Luther "Casey" Jones. The Casey Jones Home & Railroad Museum, keepers of his legend in Jackson, Tennessee hosted a grand celebration. Festivities included a special kick-off ceremony with special presentations from local, regional and state-wide proclamations in honor of Casey Jones.
