Looking Over Jordan: African-Americans and the War

“Looking Over Jordan,” the sixth episode in the NPT Civil War documentary series and premiered on NPT  February 21st.  The documentary series which began in 2011 includes seven episodes sponsored by the Tennessee Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission, Tennessee Civil War National Heritage Area, Tennessee Department of Education and the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development. “Looking Over Jordan” highlights the African American experience in Tennessee during and after the war.
