Reader’s Digest Awards

The citizens of Red Boiling Springs, along with numerous friends and family members scattered across the U.S., spent three and a half months participating in Reader's Digest's "We Hear You America" 2012 Campaign. They voted for Red Boiling Springs by going on line and typing in thousands of nonsense words, 814,275 words to be exact, at the Reader's Digest website.  Their efforts placed them at number 13 and won them $5,000 to be used toward the purchase and restoration of the old Red Boiling Springs Bank building, which is to be used for a Heritage Museum for the community.
