Tonya Brotherton to Lead Bird Dog Foundation

Tonya BrothertonTonya BrothertonThe Board of Directors of the Bird Dog Foundation (which operates the National Bird Dog Museum & Field Trial Hall of Fame) recently selected Tonya Brotherton of nearby Hickory Valley, TN to serve as Executive Director.  Brotherton replaces David Smith who retired March 1, 2014.  Before moving into the top slot, Mrs. Brotherton had previously been employed by the foundation as Gift Shop Manager and Secretary.  Originally from Tuscumbia, Alabama, Mrs. Brotherton has lived and worked near the famous bird dog mecca, the Ames Plantation, for more than 30 years.  She and her husband, Rex, express a fondness for horses and also own sporting dogs.
