Education Initiative
The department has made a concerted effort to provide dedicated resources and new efforts towards the importance of increasing tourism awareness in Tennessee education institutions.
Learn about tourism careers in Tennessee.
Goals include:
Increase awareness to students, teachers and parents of numerous career paths available in the tourism industry.
Generate awareness through vehicles such as videos, magazines, personal appearances, speaker’s bureau, job shadowing and conferences.
Inform students of career-focused activities such as workshops, seminars, certificate programs, internships, and sponsored scholarships.
