The Official Tennessee Vacation Guide

The Vacation Guide is an annual, advertising supported publication of the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development. The Vacation Guide contains a comprehensive listing of attractions, special events, accommodations, recreation and travel-related services that give Tennessee its appeal as a great vacation destination. Free listings are available for all State qualified attractions, accommodations, golf courses, state parks, water recreational businesses and other travel related businesses.

Advertisements in the Vacation Guide are restricted to businesses that provide a direct service to the traveling and/or tourist public. Advertisement in the Vacation Guide is limited to businesses licensed to operate in the State of Tennessee and all businesses must have a place of operation within the State of Tennessee unless specifically approved by the State.

Department of Tourist Development Web Site

Accommodations, attractions and destinations listed in the Official Tennessee Vacation Guide will be included in the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development web site, www.tnvacation.com. Other properties that are not listed in the Vacation Guide, but meet the criteria, will be reviewed and added at the discretion of the Department of Tourist Development. Links will be provided, free of charge, to those accommodations, attractions and destinations listed in the Tennessee Vacation Guide. Links will be provided, free of charge, to all tourism marketing organizations including chambers of commerce and convention & visitors bureaus.

Events

Communities or tourism marketing organizations may request to add events to the seasonal listings page. The listings generally come directly from the Seasonal and Annual Events brochure produced by the Department, but new events may be added at the Department's discretion.
