This year, Jackson, Tennessee's Madison Academic, Sumner County's White House Heritage, Nashville Christan School, Lewis County High, East Hickman, host Perry County, and Clarksville, Tennessee's Montgomery Central High are some of nine (9) participating high school girls' softball teams - which hail from nine (9) different Tennessee counties!
Add great music between the games, and you've got the City of Lobelville's BUFFALO RIVER SPRINGFEST - our fifth year!!!!
Great softball matchups are scheduled for both days.
The first round games will commence on Friday afternoon @ 3:30 PM, at Lobelville City Park (and later that day @ Perry County High School.)
There are games starting at 9:00 AM, all day Saturday, March 23, at three different BALLPARKS /
locations around Perry County (Lobelville City Park, Veterans Park in Linden, and Perry County High School, also in Linden).
The final games of the tournament including the championship game, will all be played in Lobelville, that Saturday evening.
Admission to all games, at all sites, is free and fresh-grilled concessions will be available in Lobelville and Linden, all weekend, from the Perry County Rescue Squad, and the Perry County Dixie Youth volunteers.
BRING THE KIDS ... Nashville television mascot - Channel 4's SNOWBIRD will be in Lobelville from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Saturday!
TPC's (The Peachtree Channel) little "Baby Tell Him" may appear on Saturday afternoon, depending on his nap time.
GREAT FAMILY FUN!
Moe Denham, the renowned Nashville B-3 organist, will be not be featured Saturday. He had to recently cancel, as his organ is in the shop. Poor Moe - he could have used the $100. (maybe next year)
But everything is free admission, and it'll be a lot of fun, and for that "free" price, you WILL NOT find anything more exciting than high school girls' softball, Snowbird and YOU!
