Join us on the Tennessee River Gorge Explorer with Historian Jim Ogden as he narrates stories of daring and sacrifice, endurance and struggle, terror, loss, and victory that unfolded during the Civil War along the Tennessee River. Picture sharpshooters in the gorge, a flotilla that emerges out of the mist, a battle on a looming mountain slope. These events all helped make Chattanooga's story critical to the development of our nation and can hardly be told any better than from the river itself. Enjoy the great fall color as you sense this passageway through history.
