Music in the Grand Lobby: The Contrarian Ensemble

Frist Center for the Visual Arts - The Contrarian Ensemble is widely known and sought after by folk and contra dancers in Middle Tennessee. This delightful community band, comprising guitar, mandolin, accordion, fiddle, recorder and percussion, plays music of and by the folk. From contemporary reels, jigs and waltzes, to music of the early 17th century, the Contrarians will inspire you to rise and dance. And visitors are welcome to do just that.
