Yee haw! Pull on your boots and dust off your hat! The 65th annual Franklin Rodeo, presented by the Franklin Noon Rotary Club, stampedes into the Williamson County Ag Center May 15-17 at 7 pm each night. It’s bronc ridin’, bull ridin’, ropin’, steer wrestlin’, and barrel racin’ as pro rodeo cowboys and cowgirls compete for prize money and the championship belt buckle! Proceeds from this event benefit area charities. Rodeo Café on site. The rodeo is more than just a rodeo. It’s an experience! Enjoy a western rodeo parade with lots of horses on May 10, and attend the Free rodeo party on May 14 at the Williamson Co. Ag Center. When you come to the rodeo, you’re giving back to the community! Over $2 million has been raised for area charities. Saturday, May 17 is Tough Enough to Wear Pink night at the rodeo. For every rodeo fan who wears pink, $1 is donated to the Cancer Resource Center at Williamson Medical Center for breast cancer research and treatment. Over the last 7 years, the rodeo has given $60,000 for breast cancer awareness. Rodeo tickets are available online at www.franklinrodeo.com and at the gate. They are $20 for adults and $10 for kids ages 12 and under.
