Tennessee's Inaugural Sesquicentennial Signature Event Kicks Off Nov. 12

The Inaugural Sesquicentennial Signature Event will begin 10 a.m. CST Nov. 12 at TPAC's Jackson Hall. Governor Phil Bredesen will kick off the event along with special remarks by Trace Adkins and a performance by the Fisk Jubilee Singers.

Additional information:

  • Tourism Commissioner Susan Whitaker will present the opening remarks at 10 a.m. on Friday at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center's Jackson Hall.

  • Porter's Tennessee Battery (C.S.) will fire 4 cannons at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park.

  • Posting of the Civil War period flags by the US Colored Troops Infantry and the Randal McGavock Camp, Sons of Confederate Veterans will take place at TPAC.
